Nashville Predators team up to help end bullying

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

The Nashville Predators aren't always the nicest people on the ice, but off the ice, they're taking a stand to stop bullying.

A new public service announcement features Preds forward Colin Wilson and members of the STARS campaign, which works to combat bullying by working with schools, students and their families.

"These are the people that you have to go after to stop bullying: the people who see it going on, the people who can help by being a friend with someone for years so they don't feel that isolation," Wilson said.

In honor of the anti-bullying campaign, Gov. Bill Haslam has designated Jan. 20-24 as "Be a Friend Week" in Tennessee.
