PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT)-  Three people were injured Wednesday after a tractor-trailer crashed into their van.

Paragould police said around 8:30 p.m., Kevin Lenderman, 18, made a U-turn directly in front of a tractor-trailer, driven by Danny R. Wyrick, 63, on U.S. Hwy. 412 West.

Witness and driver statements said Lenderman began exiting the roadway into the shoulder of the highway and turned in front of Wyrick. Wyrick's tractor-trailer then struck Lenderman's van on the driver side.

The tractor trailer pushed the van approximately 65 feet before both vehicles came to a stop in the turning lane.

Wyrick, who was alone, was not hurt. Lenderman and his passengers, Jared Howard, 17, and Patience Cochran, 22, were all injured.

Lenderman and Howard were taken to AMMC for treatment.  Cochran, who was temporarily entrapped inside the van, was airlifted by Air Evac and taken to the Med in Memphis.

Their conditions are unknown at this time.
