BROOKLAND, AR (KAIT)- Several Region 8 families took a stand Thursday against bullying at the Brookland School District.
Middle School students and their families learned about the signs of bullying and how to address the issue, as well as how to make sure they themselves aren't bullying others.
Shelly Copeland-Wood with Brookland Middle School said one of their goals through the family night is to build confidence in children. "Whenever they feel that they're bullied, they can think about all of the things that they're really good at and have that to build their confidence," Copeland-Woods said,
A speaker with the Arkansas Attorney General's Office was also on hand to speak on anti-bullying strategies and good ways to build self-confidence.
