Police search home and arrest man on 9 child porn charges

POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) –  Pocahontas police officers found DVDs, CDs, VCR tapes, and a computer all filled with child porn, while searching a home on Friday.

According to a news release, both the Pocahontas Police Department and Randolph County Sheriff's Department searched the home on Highway 90 West.

Police arrested Morris Hudson Cline Jr., 48, who is the owner of a laptop that had underage sexual material on it.

Apart from the DVDs, CDs, and VCR tapes, officers said they also found novelty toys and small-sized lingerie in the home.

Officers gathered the evidence and found probable cause to arrest Cline on the following charges:

  • 6 counts of sexual assault in the 1st degree
  • Transportation of a minor for prohibited sexual conduct
  • Producing, directing, and promoting sexual performance by a child
  • Computer child pornography
  • Engaging child in sexual conduct for use in visual or print
  • Distribution, possession, or viewing sexual conduct involving a child
  • Computer exploitation of a child
  • Employing or consenting to use a child in sexual performance
  • Video Voyeurism

On Saturday, he had a cash only bond set at $200,000.

Pocahontas police said the investigation is ongoing.
