Copiah County: Child burned during structure fire

COPIAH COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Fire officials are on the scene of a structure fire in Copiah County.

The location of the fire is off Highway 27 in Crystal Springs, not far from the Copiah County line.

According to the Copiah County Sheriff's Department, three people were inside of the home. Two made it out safely but a 10 year old suffered from second degree burns.

We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

At last check, an ambulance and deputies were still on the scene.
