Full list of Winter Storm 2014 closings/delays

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

The threat of severe winter weather has resulted in several Lowcountry businesses and organization announcing closures and delays.

Freezing rain and sleet began hitting Charleston and surrounding areas Tuesday afternoon and continued overnight, resulting in icy and dangerous roadways. Because of these hazardous conditions, many schools and business have decided to delay opening on Friday. 

List of closures and delays:

SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES

Charleston County School District -  Operating on two hour delay on Friday.

Charleston Montessori - Two hour delay on Friday.

Colleton County School District -  Resume normal hours on Friday.


Charleston Christian School (West Ashley) - will operate on a two-hour delay Friday. 

Charleston Southern University - Reopening Friday at normal time. 

The Citadel - Operations will return to a normal schedule Friday. 

Dorchester County District 2 - Norma operating hours on Friday

Dorchester County District 4 -  Will return to regular hours Friday. 

First Baptist School - Will operate on a 2-hour delay Friday.

Georgetown County Schools Will open on Friday with two hour delay.

Horry County School District - All public schools will be closed Friday.

James Island Christian School -  Two hour delay on Friday. Students report at 10 a.m., staff at 9 a.m.

Johnsonville District 5 - 2 Hour delay Friday. 

Loving and Learning Education Center - Wll open during regular hours on Friday.

Mason Prep - will operate on a 2-hour delay Friday. 

Orangeburg Consolidated School District 3 - Classes will return to normal schedule Friday.

Palmetto Christian Academy - Will have a 2 hour delay Friday. 

Park West Preschool - Will reopen at 6:30 a.m. Friday 

Pinewood Prep - Will return to regular schedule Friday. 

Saint James Day School - will reopen at 8:30 a.m. Friday.  

Trident Academy - Will reopen at 10 a.m. Friday. 

Trident Technical College - All campuses will operate on a normal schedule Friday.

University School of the Lowcountry - Will be closed Thursday. Online assignments should be completed for Friday. 

Williamsburg County School District - Will open on 2 hour delay Friday.
