Region 8 woman arrested for Medicaid fraud

Amanda Fielder Amanda Fielder

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -  A Craighead County health care worker is accused of billing the state of Arkansas for work she didn't perform.

According to a news release from the Attorney General's Office, Amanda Fielder, 28, of Bono was arrested on one count of Medicaid Fraud.

The A.G.'s office said Fielder made $2,216.16 in fraudulent claims to Medicaid program. She's alleged to have lied about providing attendant-care services to a Medicaid beneficiary in Jonesboro from August 2013 to October 2013.

Investigators claim she couldn't have provided those services because, at the time, she had no transportation during the time she claimed to work.

She was arrested as part of an investigation by the Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
