Water main breaks causing road closures in Hermitage

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Several water main breaks will affect morning rush hour traffic in Hermitage on Thursday morning.

Central Pike will be closed in both directions after a water main break near the Stoners Creek Bridge.

Stewarts Ferry Pike is closed in both directions after a water main break near McCampbell Avenue.

Drivers can get to Donelson Middle School and Hickman Elementary School from Lebanon Pike.

Those driving northbound on Stewarts Ferry Pike will be able to get to McCampbell Avenue.

Drivers will need to use Old Hickory Boulevard and Donelson Pike as alternate routes between Lebanon Pike and Interstate 40.

    According to the National Weather Service, the storm that went through Clay County Saturday night was an EF-2 tornado that brought 115 mph winds and damaged multiple homes in the county.
