Two in jail following police raid on suspected 'drug house'

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Officers from several Region 8 law enforcement agencies raided a suspected drug house this week and seized large amounts of meth, money and weapons.

On Tuesday the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from officers with Walnut Ridge, Black Rock and Hoxie police departments, raided a suspected drug house in the 400-block of West Hill Street in Walnut Ridge.

Sheriff Jody Dotson said investigators found 79.3 grams of methamphetamine (Ice) in the home.  He estimated the street value at nearly $8,000.

Officers also found weapons, drug paraphernalia and $980 in cash, Dotson said.

Detectives arrested Stephen Williams, 60, and Ryun Blansett, 23, at the home. 

Both suspects are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms.

Williams is being held in the Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash bond.  Blansett's bond was set at $7,500 cash.  Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, March 13.
