Towne Village Drive Towne Village Drive
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

One of the two pedestrians who was struck by a car Thursday night in south Nashville has died.

Police said Logan Watkins, 18, died after he and Andrew True, 17, were struck on Towne Village Drive just before 9 p.m. by a car driven by Jaimie Glatt, 23.

Watkins and True were standing on the north side of the road when they saw two dogs fighting across the street, according to police. They attempted to run across the road to intervene when they were struck by a Saturn car driven by Glatt.

Watkins was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, while True suffered minor injuries.

Police said Glatt said she wasn't completely aware of what had taken place. She drove a short distance to her parents' home and called police.

No charges have been filed against Glatt at this time as the investigation continues.
