The Arkansas State women's bowling squad, currently ranked No. 1 in the NTCA Coaches and Media Polls, will travel to Arlington, Texas, Jan. 31-Feb. 2 for the Prairie View A&M Invitational, which will be streamed live on www.bowl.com during all three days of the tournament.
Action at the Bowling International Training and Research Center is set to begin Friday at noon and will continue Saturday at 9 a.m. The final day and bracket play portion of the competition is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
Seven other national-ranked teams will be joining the No. 1 Red Wolves at the tournament, including No. 2 Maryland-Eastern Shore, No. 3 Central Missouri, No. 5 Stephen F. Austin, No. 6 Nebraska, No. 8 Vanderbilt, No. 10 Sam Houston State, and No. 14 Valparaiso. Rounding out the field are Jackson State, Norfolk State, Texas Southern, and host Prairie View A&M.
A-State currently sports a 41-13 record and has won its last three tournaments. Last time out, the Red Wolves won their host tournament, the Mid-Winter Invitational, and recorded a 10-2 record.
