NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A woman died Sunday morning after her car hydroplaned on I40 in Wilson County and crashed into a garbage truck.

Tennessee Highway Patrol officials say 25-year-old Charity Williams was driving on I-40 westbound near mile marker 245 when her car hydroplaned, sending her across the median into oncoming traffic.

Officials say Williams's car hit an oncoming garbage nearly head on. She was ejected from her car and killed.

The accident happened just before 8 a.m. Eastbound traffic was affected and cleared by 11:00 a.m.
