Batesville man dead after 2-vehicle crash, 4 injured

BALD KNOB, AR (KAIT) – A Batesville man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in White County over the weekend.

According to Arkansas State Police, Nivardo Zoquitecatl of Batesville died one day shy of his 35th birthday. The crash happened near Bald Knob on U.S. 64 Saturday.

The police report states a vehicle driven by Narcus Sullivan of Dover was headed north on U.S. 64 to the intersection of U.S. 67 north where she had the green light. Zoquitecatl was headed east and took the 55 exit ramp. Police said he failed to stop at the red light.

Sullivan's vehicle then hit Zoquitecatl's in the right rear where it then struck a pole on the driver's side, police said.

Two passengers were injured in Zoquitecatl's vehicle. Sullivan and her passenger were also injured. Their conditions are not known.

The crash report indicates it was raining and road conditions were wet at the time of the crash.
