Serious crash reported in Murfreesboro

MURFREESBORO, TN (WSMV) -

Murfreesboro police are investigating a head-on crash with injuries Monday evening.

The crash was reported about 6 p.m. near the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and Heritage Park Drive.

Police said Stephanie Easom, 33, of Murfreesboro, was driving a 2011 Nissan truck when the truck collided with a 1992 four-door Cadillac driven by Steven Alsup, 59, of Murfreesboro.

A passenger in the Cadillac, 78-year-old Joyce Alsup, of Murfreesboro, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Easom and Steven Alsup were each transported to Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital with minor injuries.
