NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Mt. Juliet man has died after a two-vehicle crash Monday evening east of downtown Nashville.

The crash was reported about 5 p.m. along Murfreesboro Pike near Foster Avenue.

Police said Thomas Finn, 47, of Mt. Juliet, was driving a 2004 Dodge Caravan when his vehicle struck the rear of a Pontiac G6 that was stopped for a red light at the intersection.

Finn and the driver of the Pontiac, 23-year-old Hillary Fink, of Kansas City, MO, were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Finn died.

Fink was not critically injured in the crash.

Police said Finn was not wearing a seatbelt.
