CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

Four people are displaced after a Chesterfield house fire near Robious Road.

The fire started in the attic of a home in the 1600 block of Knollwood Drive around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. There is significant smoke damage throughout the home.

Crews confirm that all family members are accounted for. The two adults and two juveniles living at the home are being assisted by the Red Cross.

Investigators say a fan in the attic powered by an extension cord started the fire.
