JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A man was arrested for drugs after police found out he had a warrant out for his arrest.
According to a Jonesboro police report, an officer was dispatched on Saturday afternoon to the 400-block of Belt Street in reference to people doing drugs inside a car.
When the officer arrived he saw the driver of the car, Timothy Scott Sage, 32, come out of a house.
The officer ran his name through dispatch and found Sage had a warrant out for his arrest. Sage was searched and handcuffed. In the search, the officer found two glass pipes with white residue on it, a clear bag containing meth and a marijuana joint.
Sage was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center and had a cash bond set at $295.
He was charged with a felony for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was charged with a misdemeanor for possession of marijuana.
The police report did not say if any of the passengers were arrested.
His court date was scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m.
