Tim Shepard drops 31 pts as Crowley's Ridge wins on Homecoming

PARAGOULD (CRC.edu) - Tim Shepard scored a career high 31 points and Javeon Walker handed out a school record 17 assist as the Crowley's Ridge College took a 105-90 win on Homecoming Weekend over St. Louis Christian College Saturday.
CRC jumped out to an early seven point lead and extended it to 10 at the half at 50-40 after a three-pointer by Paxton Smith just before the intermission. The second half saw the Pioneers extend the lead to as much as 20 points. St. Louis Christian stayed in the game by shooting 10 of 27 from the three-point line on the afternoon.
Shepard led all scorers with his 31, while Skylor Guess and Josh Longino each added 17 points. Houston Cooper converted on ten free throws in the final four minutes of play to account for his 10 points on the day.
CRC shot 39 of 69 from the floor for 56.5% including eight of 19 from behind the three-point line. The much bigger CRC also out-rebounded St. Louis Christian 52-23 on the afternoon.
The Pioneers improve to 12-11 on the season and next face Lindenwood University Belleville at home Thursday night with a 7:00 start time.
