Man calls police and then arrested for drugs

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Jonesboro police arrested a man after he believed suspicious people were walking around his home on Friday.

In a police report, officers said when they arrived at 3:45 a.m. they tried to get information from the suspects. However, they saw that the caller, Justin Michael Wilkerson, 26, was not able to keep his story straight and seemed nervous.

When they ran his name through dispatch they found Wilkerson was on probation. Officers then searched him and found two small bags of meth inside a cigarette pack. He told police that he meant to give it to his grandparents so they could get rid of them and he would not be in trouble

Wilkerson was arrested and when they searched his wallet they found some materials to make methamphetamine.

He was charged a felony for possession of meth and probation violation.

He is in the Craighead County Detention Center in lieu of a bond for a probable cause hearing.
