TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

The Texas Department of Public has released the names of the victims in the fatal two-vehicle crash that occurred in Trinity County Saturday morning.

According to the DPS accident report, Branden Ray Sangster, 24, of Cleveland, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at 7a .m. Saturday. The report indicated that Sangster was not wearing his seatbelt when the accident occurred.

The accident occurred at about 5:51 a.m. Saturday about a mile south of Trinity. A 2006 Toyota Camry driven by Amanda Danielle Lofton, 25, of Trinity, was westbound on FM 356 when a 2004 Nissan Altima driven by Sangster crossed the center line and struck it head-on.

The DPS accident report stated that Sangster was killed instantly.

Both occupants of the Camry were airlifted for medical treatment. Lofton is in critical condition in a Houston hospital. The passenger, Kennith Charles Tims III, 20, of Tyler is in critical condition in a Bryan hospital.
