Karisa Hendrix to have jersey retired Tuesday

Walnut Ridge, Ark. (WBCEagles.com) – The Williams Baptist College softball team has achieved a large amount of success over the last four years.  One of the central figures in that success is Karisa Hendrix.  The Cherokee Village native will be honored at a ceremony before the 1 p.m. double header against Southwest Baptist University on Tuesday, February 18.

Hendrix pitched for Williams from 2010-2013 and was a two time All-American.  She holds almost every pitching record in school history.

The flamethrower was named American Midwest Conference pitcher of the year three times, as well as being selected to the first team All-Conference each of her four years at WBC.

Hendrix wore the number seven for the Lady Eagles and the jersey will be retired at the ceremony.

The Williams softball team is currently ranked fourth in the NAIA.  They doubleheader with Southwest Baptist is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
