JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - An Arkansas congressman said he is hitting the campaign trail.
U.S. Representative Tim Griffin stopped in Jonesboro to announce his intention to run for lieutenant governor. If elected, Griffin said one of the first things he intends to tackle is taxes.
"I think that the Arkansas tax code, it's been around for a while, and I think it's time to look at the whole system," said Griffin. "Not just income tax, but all of the different components that bring revenue into the government."
The Republican congressman said another priority is job growth in Arkansas.
