Jonesboro police name suspect wanted in stabbing

JONESBORO, AR  (KAIT) – Police are looking for a man wanted for murder after a stabbing in Jonesboro.

According to Jonesboro Police Sgt. Doug Formon, police are looking for Steven Clark, 21. A criminal attempt to commit capital murder warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Formon said Clark, also known as "Lil Steve", could be in the Jonesboro or Forrest City area. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Clark is wanted in the stabbing of a 28-year-old man on the 300 block of North State Street on Feb. 19.

Formon said the victim got into an altercation with the suspect. He was stabbed in the lower stomach. The victim was undergoing surgery at a local hospital as of Wednesday.

The name of the victim and his condition have not been released.
