JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – A trip to the restroom ended with one man caught on camera and another in handcuffs.

On Thursday, Feb. 20, Jonesboro police arrested Robert Edward Berry, 40, of Lake City on a charge of video voyeurism.

According to the initial police report, a man claimed he was using the restroom at Home Depot, 711 W. Parker, when he noticed a cell phone being held under the stall partition.

The victim said the phone's camera was pointed at him and it appeared to be recording.

The man "quickly left the stall and confronted the subject," later identified as Berry, the report stated.

The victim told an employee what had happened in the bathroom and police were called.

After he was read his Miranda rights, Berry reportedly admitted to police he was "playing on his cell phone and then lowered the phone below the level of the partition and was using his phone to record the person in the stall next to him."

Berry claimed he deleted the video just before police arrived.

Police took Berry to the Craighead County Detention Center where he was charged with felony video voyeurism.  He was also cited with a failure to appear misdemeanor.  He's being held on a $705 surety bond awaiting a probable cause hearing.
