LITTLE ROCK, AR (AP) - The Arkansas Libertarian Party has nominated its slate of candidates for various state and federal offices.

KTHV reports that the party nominated Frank Gilbert for governor during its convention Saturday in Little Rock and Chris Olson was nominated for lieutenant governor.

The party's nominees for federal office include Nathan LaFrance to the U.S. Senate; Brian Willhite to the U.S. House in the First District: Debbie Standiford to the House in the Second District: Grant Brand to the House in the Third District: and Ken Hamilton to the House in the Fourth District.

Gilbert will need to win 3 percent of the vote in the November gubernatorial election to ensure the party retains a spot on the ballot in 2016.
