LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas voters are continuing to turn out in record numbers to cast early voting ballots.

In Pulaski County, the state's largest, early voting totals of 21,585 by noon Monday had surpassed the 21,068 for the entire two-week period in 2000.

County clerks around the state say they are seeing a similar pace.  In Craighead County, there are currently more than 52,000 registered voters now on the rolls, and more than 5,000 of them are new voters, an increase of more than 11.5 percent.

The secretary of state's office won't have the total number of people who voted early and absentee until after the November 2 election.
