AYNOR, SC (WMBF) - On Saturday, March 1 there was a candlelight vigil held for missing woman Angie Pipkin, and others missing from Horry County at 7 p.m. in Aynor Town Park.

The focal point at the vigil, was a table filled with pictures of those missing, which was surrounded by candles.

According to the Horry County Police Department, 32-year-old Angie Pipkin was last seen on January 16. Pipkin's father dropped her off at the IGA in Aynor where she was meeting a friend. When her father returned later, she was gone.

After a week without contact, Pipkin's mother called police. The police report from the HCPD states that the mother had checked Pipkin's Facebook page to find no recent activity, and her cell phone was going straight to voicemail, with a full mailbox.

"They didn't take me serious, they didn't think she was really missing," said her mom, Gail Pipkin, referring to law enforcement's reaction to her daughter's disappearance.

Pipkin's friends and family have set up the Facebook page "Find Angie Pipkin" that can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/findangiepipkin.

"I haven't heard from her since the 16th of January and....it is just tearing my heart out," cried Gail Pipkin. She adds, "the worst part is not knowing where she is or if she is hurt."

Family members of Aynor's missing Zack Malinowski echo that statement.

"You don't know what happened to them, you don't know if they ran away, if something really bad happened to them," expressed Lonnie Jordan, Zack's step-dad.

Jordan organized the event. Nineteen-year-old Malinowski was last seen on August 25 in 2013. The 1996 Chevrolet Beretta he was last seen driving was found burned on Valley Forge Road near Aynor.

The vigil centered around a table covered in photos of the dozens of missing persons in Horry County. Jordan read their names aloud one by one, most of them unsolved.

Horry County has a number of current missing person's cases. More information on those cases can be found here: http://www.wmbfnews.com/story/24331448/questions-surround-the-human-remains-found-on-tidewater-rd
