PARAGOULD, AR  (KAIT) – A Paragould man was convicted on charges of child pornography Tuesday afternoon, according to Second Judicial District Prosecutor Scott Ellington. According to Ellington's office, Clint E. Fields, 33, of Paragould plead guilty to four counts of distributing, possessing or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving children.

Fields was sentenced to 17 years in prison.

According to a news release from Ellington's office, Fields had pictures and videos of children as young as six years old on a laptop computer.

Fields was also given 15 years suspended imposition of sentence after his time at the Arkansas Department of Correction.

Ellington said on April 16th, 2013, officers conducted a search warrant at a home in Paragould.

"The charges for which Mr. Fields pleaded guilty to today are some of the most sickening, disturbing offenses in the book," Ellington stated in the release. "Until the numbers of these cases are at zero, law enforcement will not stop investigating and my office will not stop prosecuting."

Ellington said Arkansas State Police, the Arkansas Attorney General's Office and Paragould Police all participated in the investigation.
