LITTLE ROCK, AR - Support for a constitutional amendment to extend the term limits of Arkansas legislators appears to be weakening.
A recent poll found that only 32 percent of 500 likely voters surveyed say they will support Amendment One. Eight percent of those polled were undecided.
The poll was done by Opinion Research Associates of Little Rock for the Arkansas News Bureau and Stephens Media Group. It has a margin of error of plus or minus four-and-a-half percentage points.
An earlier poll done by the same organization showed 51 percent of likely voters surveyed would vote against the term limits extension and 40 percent favored the idea.
Supporters of Amendment One blamed the change on special interests from outside the state.
