Was Outback Check A Fake?

Police tell us this week's suspect cashed a counterfeit check. This is security video from Wallace and Owens, released to Crimestoppers from JPD. Police tell me he cashed a payroll check from Outback Steakhouse in the amount of nearly $500. That check boomeranged right back as a counterfeit, but our suspect was already out the door with the cash. If you know who this is, call CRIMESTOPPERS, 935-STOP. Tell police what you know. They'll give you a tip number. You hang on to that number, then in two weeks, call Sgt. Steve McDaniel at JPD to see if your tip turned into an arrest. If it did, you can take your tip to the bank and get cash. That's how CRIMESTOPPERS works.

Eights are wild on Warrant Watch this week. And we've got a pair of them.

Mtthew R. Ziegenhorn has:

  • 8 non-payment of fines warrants

Charles M. Cooper has:

  • 8 non-payment of fines warrants

If you can lead police to either Matthew Ziegenhorn or Charles Cooper, call CRIMESTOPPERS, 935-STOP. There's no caller ID, no one records your call. Just tell police what you know.  It could be worth cash. And remember, when you see crime, call CRIMESTOPPERS, 935-STOP.
