ELIZABETHTOWN, KY (WAVE) - One Army dad soared to new heights to make sure his little boys know how much he missed them.

Specialist Ted Treece, who is based at Fort Knox, just returned from a nine-month deployment supporting Operation Freedom in Afghanistan.

Friday his wife Jessica Treece took their two boys, Elijah, 4, and Bentley, 3, to Skydive Kentucky LLC. The boys thought they were just going to practice baseball but then their dad came parachuting down and landed where they were playing.

Jessica Treece was in on the surprise but Elijah and Bentley had no idea their father was coming home.
