SIKESTON, MO (KAIT)-- For those who had to abandoned their stalled vehicles in the wintry weather, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety has a message for you: Your car will be towed and you will receive the bill.
Captain James McMillen announced Monday morning that DPS will begin towing vehicles abandoned on city streets.
Because of the snow, several cars were left in the roadways.
Now they're causing more traffic troubles.
McMillen said first responders are having difficulties reaching their destinations because of blocked intersections.
If drivers have not made arrangements to have their vehicles removed, he said the city will tow them.
McMillen also stated the owners will be responsible for the tow bills.
