IMBODEN, AR (KAIT)--David Eck of is being held in lieu of $10,000 after he was accused of stealing manuals and logbooks from the Black Rock Bridge construction site.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson, Eck was fired from the site on Wednesday. Supervisors escorted him off the property.

On Thursday workers returned to the site to find that logs and manuals required to be in the cranes were missing.

Dotson said the manuals are valued at $1,500. He also said, due to work site laws, construction had to be halted on the bridge until the logs and manuals were replaced.

Deputies tracked down Eck, who is originally from Georgia but is currently living in the Portia area.

After he was read his Miranda rights, Dotson said Eck confessed to taking the manuals.

Deputies arrested Eck and transported him to the Lawrence County Jail where he was formally charged with criminal trespass and theft of property.
