(RNN) - Those searching for Bigfoot commonly believe he lives in the forests of the Northwest, however, they might try our nation's capital.

Aaron Myers took a photo of a man dressed in a bigfoot costume wandering around in a snowstorm and tweeted it.

"Guy in a Bigfoot costume walking around snowy #DupontCircle #DC for no good reason. Told me he was warm & high5'd. pic.twitter.com/Qy3ctLb9ZL," Myers tweeted.

The photograph has been retweeted and favorited hundreds of times.

"Not ALF. He wasn't carrying a cat," Myers tweeted at those who asked about the striking resemblance to the main character in the classic 1980s TV show.

The federal government closed offices as the Washington, DC metropolitan area is expected to receive up to 4 to 6 inches of snow.
