JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Utility companies continue to restore power to many in northeast Arkansas despite the lingering ice.

According to Monty Williams with Craighead Electric Cooperative, about 21 customers are without power mainly in the Earle area.

Crews with Craighead Electric will be working on Bucklake Road, Hwy 149 south of Earle and Carl West Road off Hwy 149 north of Earle. According to Craighead Electric CEO Brian Duncan, power should be restored today.

About 40 poles were broken from the ice and wind, Williams says.

Entergy Arkansas continues to work on outages throughout the area. The hardest hit counties continue to be St. Francis and Crittenden County. According to Entergy's outage map hundreds of customers in Cross and Mississippi County are in the dark as of Wednesday morning.
