Police searching for woman captured on surveillance camera she stole

SEARCY, AR (KAIT) – Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect who they say stole a surveillance camera and caused over one thousand dollars in damages to a pet shelter.

According to Cpl. Steve Hernandez with Searcy police, the incident happened at Paws Inn in Searcy on Feb. 16.

Hernandez stated the unidentified woman driving what appears to be a Toyota Highlander stole the camera and caused about $1,200 in damages to the building. Windows and siding were damaged by someone using a BB gun, police said.  

Police have been called to the building several times in reference to similar damage.
