CHEROKEE VILLAGE, Ark. (AP) - A Cherokee Village woman is behind bars after police arrested her for robbing a bank.

Sarah Holloway, age 29 of Cherokee Village, is awaiting formal charges for robbing the FNBC Bank in Cherokee Village.

Sharp County Sheriff Mark Counts in a news release stated Holloway became a suspect shortly after the robbery. Cherokee Village Police Chief Rick Crook linked Holloway to the crime and found her in Hardy where she was arrested.

Thursday, Counts said a woman wearing a mask and carrying a gun walked in the bank and left with an undetermined amount of money. The bank is located in the same shopping center as the Cherokee Village City Hall, which also houses the town's police department.

Counts says Holloway took officers to the stolen money. According to Counts all the money was all recovered.
