PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A Paragould man was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to raping a child.

In March 2013, Paragould police began investigating Barry Wayne Crow after they received a tip from the Arkansas Child Abuse Hotline.

Police made contact with Crow, but he fled to Texas. Crow was arrested there and extradited back to Arkansas to face charges.

According to Prosecuting Attorney Scott Ellington, a judge sentenced Crow to 40 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
