TN man arrested in Lawrence Co. for marijuana

LAWERNCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Tennessee man was arrested at a checkpoint after authorities discovered marijuana in his vehicle.

On Monday, Larry Holder, 34, was stopped at a safety checkpoint near Saffell. According to Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson, a K-9 unit detected a positive find in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, deputies found individually packaged bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Holder was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Dotson said that Holder also had misdemeanor warrants for his arrest as well.

He was taken to the Lawrence County Jail and is awaiting a bond hearing.
