    September is National Preparedness Month and officials are giving a list of the basics that the public should always have on hand in case of an emergency. Always have water, a battery powered flashlight and a first aid kit and have them on hand before an emergency hits.

Casa Grande manarrested on drug charges after search reveals drugs and weapons inside hishome.

Henry AlbertMarquardt was arrested on March 10, after a warrant to search his home in the2900 block of E. Picacho Drive was requested by Coolidge Police Department detectives.  According to a Pinal County Sheriff's officerelease Marquardt was found walking outside his home, he was taken into custodywithout incident; a search of Marquardt found he had an ounce ofmethamphetamine and an air pistol made to look like a real handgun.   

Deputies searched hishome finding several modified air soft weapons, a real .38 caliber handgun andseveral rounds of ammunition; Marquardt is a convicted felon, who is notallowed to possess any firearms. Searchers also found glass pipes, various drug paraphernalia and 13unlabeled pill bottles containing assorted prescription drugs and additionalmethamphetamine, according to the release. Marquardt's front door was also screwed shut from the inside, said PCSOdeputies, with a security camera above the door.

He is currentlybooked into the Pinal County Jail on the following charges - possession of adangerous drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, misconduct involving a weapon(prohibited possessor), fortifying a structure with the intent to suppress lawenforcement.  According to the releaseadditional charges are pending on the large quantities of 'prescription only'medication found in the home.

"I want to thankCoolidge Police Chief Joe Brugman and his officers for the help with this investigation,"said Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu. "Working together we were able to arrest Henry Marquardt and puthim once again behind bars."
