Miss America as guest speaker for Women's History Month Conference


JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  The 3rd Annual Women's History Month Conference took place at Arkansas State University Thursday where the 2014 Miss America was featured as the guest speaker.

Miss America Nina Davuluri said her platform is Celebrating Diversity through Cultural Competency. She said she was proud to be speaking at the Women's Conference.

Davuluri said, "Often as women we face similar problems, similar stereotypes.  Especially entering the work field, the business world and the message I really want to promote is to be confident in yourself and I think, as women, we can all relate to that."

Davuluri travels 20,000 miles each month performing her duties as Miss America.
