Holly Looney named Miss Williams Baptist College

WALNUT RIDGE, AR--(KAIT) Walnut Ridge native Holly Looney has been named the 2014 Miss Williams Baptist College.

The freshman was crowned during a ceremony held Monday on the campus.

In addition to the title, Looney also won the Talent Award.

She is the daughter of David and Karen Looney of Walnut Ridge.

First runner-up was freshman Ashley Granderson of Pine Bluff. The biology major also won the Jackie Burton Award of Excellence, which is given to the contestant with the highest combination of interview score and grade point average.

She is the daughter of Clint and Renee Granderson of Pine Bluff.

Second runner-up went to Sarah Hunt, who was also named Miss Congeniality. Hunt is a senior psychology major from Lepanto. She is the daughter of Cathy and the late James Hunt of Lepanto.

Callie Rew of North Little Rock was named third runner-up. The freshman business administration major is the daughter of Bruce and September Rew of North Little Rock.

A total of seven contestants took part in the pageant. They were judged in interview, talent and evening gown competitions.
