LITTLE ROCK, AR  (KAIT) – A Hardy man plead guilty to felony possession of a machine gun Tuesday in federal court. According to a plea agreement in the Eastern District of the United States District Court, Kerry Wayne Evans, 55, of Hardy entered a plea deal.

Evans, also known for his role in a reality television show, plead guilty to possession of a SM10, 9mm machine gun manufactured by Georgia based RPD Industries, Inc. Court documents stated the gun was in operating condition and not registered to Evans in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record.

Evans will be sentenced sometime in the next few weeks, and could face a maximum of ten years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine. According to court documents, it would also be followed by a maximum of three years supervised release.

As part of the plea, Evans waived the right to appeal the conviction and sentence.

According to police, Evans is a cast member of the television show, ‘Clash of the Ozarks' on the Discovery Channel, which is shot in Hardy.
