"Subway Guy" Jared Fogle speaks to Jonesboro students

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  Students had a special guest at their schools Tuesday to teach them healthy eating habits. Jared Fogle, better known as "The Subway Guy," stopped by several local Jonesboro schools.

Jared lost 245 pounds and said its a personal goal of his to make sure the students don't make bad choices like he did when he was their age. "I was in the 3rd or 4th grade when I started making my own poor decisions in my life. To reach this kids at a younger age, you know obviously the kids that are on that track to stop them and to be more proactive with the kids that are being healthy right now," Jared said.

Students will have the chance to try out a fitness plan and submit their results for a chance to win prizes from Subway.
