GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said an altercation at a motel led to a gun discharging on Tuesday night, but no one getting shot.

Deputies said a man was injured during the altercation at the Country Hearth Inn on Bruce Road and began bleeding from the head. The man believed he had been shot and called 911, according to deputies.

FOX Carolina crews at the scene said investigators were surrounding room 204 at the motel and looking at shell casings in the parking lot.

Dispatchers said the man went to Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Two weeks ago, deputies responded to a stabbing several doors down from the scene of the incident on Tuesday night.
