Carolina Forest makes new football hire

CAROLINA FOREST, SC (WMBF) - Carolina Forest High School introduced a new head football coach on Tuesday, welcoming Marc Morris to take over the program. Morris last coached at Cleveland High School, in North Carolina. He has a 96-25 overall head coaching record in nine years experience at the varsity level.

He will take over a Panther program that finished 1-10 last season, which resulted in the resignation of then-head coach Drew Hummel.

Morris is the second coach in as many years to come to the Grand Strand from North Carolina to take on a new coaching opportunity. Doug Illing did the same last year, taking over Socastee's program. He helped get the Braves to the third round of the playoffs in his first season at the helm.
