    Arkansas State snapped the ball for what looked like a punt from their opponent's 40-yard line, and receiver Booker Mays clutched his hands to his chest and toppled backward to the turf.

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Two early morning shootings in Montgomery left victims with non-life threatening injuries, according to police. The shootings were not connected.

The Montgomery Police Department says the first shooting was reported around 12:15 a.m. in the 3900 block of Macedonia Drive. When officers and medics arrived, they found a female victim with a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The second shooting happened around 4 a.m. in the 900 block of West South Blvd. The victim, an adult male, sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Circumstances are not being released at this point on either case. No arrests have been made.
