LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A former deputy has been arrested for the third time in less than a month, according to records from the Calcasieu Correctional Center.

Scott Doyle Helms, 43, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of violations of protective orders. Bond was set at $10,000.

Helms was also arrested and charged with violations of protective orders on March 7. He was released the same day after posting a $5,000 bond.

Helms was fired by the Sheriff's Office in late February, after his arrest on a charge of criminal damage to property $500 to $50,000.

Helms worked for the Sheriff's Office for about 11 years.
