Parents see student-made history lesson at parent-teacher conferences

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)-  Parents at one Region 8 School also went to a history lesson at Thursday's parent-teacher conferences.

Students at Nettleton Junior High have been researching the Holocaust in the last semester. They set up different stations explaining events related to the Holocaust. Thursday, parents got to see the product of all that work.

Seventh grader Shelby Johnson said, "It is a tragic event in history, but it teaches you how people are. They will judge you over, like the color of your skin or like, what religion you are and that people don't need to do that."

Seventh grader Christina Heang said, "It's a big part of history and they should know what happened to the people and they shouldn't be treated this way."

Around 70 students worked together over the past two months to make the project possible.
