Officer fired for showing nude photos

HARRISBURG, AR  (KAIT) – A police officer in Poinsett County was fired for unprofessional conduct, according to Harrisburg Police Chief Gary Hefner. Hefner said Officer David H. Jarrett was let go in late February related to an incident with several women.

According to a complaint receipt filed at the Harrisburg Police Department, at least two women claimed Jarrett showed them nude pictures of himself. Both women claimed they felt uncomfortable with the pictures.

One woman told Hefner that Jarrett showed her nude pictures outside of the Poinsett County Sheriff's Office. Another woman claimed Jarrett wanted to take her to a cemetery on a date, and he would pull her over if she said no.

Hefner said no criminal charges will be filed.

Jarrett had been an officer with Harrisburg since June, 2011.
